Meet the Penguins in Charge!
President: Gwen Kester
Junior - Pledge Class: Fall 2021
As president, I run meetings, help our chapter run smoothly, and help E-Board members with their position.

I am a Senior at Moravian University majoring in neuroscience, hoping to go into research. Aside from GSS, I am also the president of the undergraduate research club, VP of the American chemical society, and also a member or Phi eta sigma, Omicron delta kappa, and Tribeta. I also enjoy listening and playing music, knitting, and hiking. and am also an avid animal lover.

I joined GSS for multiple reasons. One reason was in order to have more opportunities to participate in community service and hear about opportunities that I may have not known about otherwise. Another reason was due to the group involved in this organization. Everyone apart of this group is so amazing and it is an awesome group to be with.

Parliamentarian: Isabella Colon
Freshman - Pledge Class: Spring 2023
My role is to; Maintain and distribute copies of the chapter bylaws and standing rules to all members and new members in the Member-in-Training/member-in-training program. Clear any changes in the bylaws with the National Parliamentarian and/or designee prior to the changes becoming effective. File a copy of the chapter’s current bylaws and standing rules with the National Parliamentarian

I am a Health Sciences Pre OT track major. I work at Dorney so I guess you could consider me a roller coaster Enthusiast.

I chose GSS because I wanted to make lifelong friends!!

Vice President of Service: Jayden Brennan
Sophomore - Pledge Class: Fall 2021
Organize all service opportunities, host service events and keep track of everyone’s service hour count.

I am a health sciences - speech language pathology major. Despite from Gamma Sig I am also involved in America reads.
I also really enjoy doing crafts, reading, and hanging out with friends.

I joined GSS because I love doing service and was interested in meeting new people that enjoy similar interests.
Vice President of Membership: Mckayla Brennan
Sophomore - Pledge Class: Fall 2021
As the VP of Membership, I am in charge of recruiting new members into Gamma Sigma Sigma. I train them and educate the MIT's on everything GSS.
My major is Health sciences pre - OT minor in education. Aside from Gamma Sig, I am a 26 point ambassador, an orientation leader, involved in America reads, and first hounds. I also enjoy musical theater.
I joined GSS because I wanted to get involved and I love friendships and sense of community. Which I can create in Gamma Sigma Sigma.


Secretary: Delaina Laudenslager
Junior - Pledge Class: Fall 2022
My role as secretary of Gamma Sigma Sigma is to send an email on Fridays to everyone in eboard with a blank copy of meeting minutes for them to fill out everything that they intend to say at the eboard and general meetings on Sunday. In addition, during the Sunday meetings, I create a copy of the meeting minutes that includes only the information for general members. Then, I put the completed document into the shared folder that every member has access to.

I am a self design film major with a photography minor. Aside from GSS I also am involved in America Reads. I also am a fraternal twin and love cats
I joined GSS because I love helping out around the community and doing community service.

Treasurer: Sophia Shienvold
Junior - Pledge Class: Fall 2021
My role as treasurer is to regulate our finances, improve the budget, and work with our financial secretary to keep track of dues payments as well as manage fundraisers within our chapter or for our affiliates.

I’m a biology major with Spanish and Chemistry minors also with the intention of applying to dental school in the future. Aside from GSS I also do cancer research for school, am in Tri Beta, President of ACS, and URC Vice president. I am also a research student and enjoy running.
I chose Gamma Sigma Sigma because I enjoy doing the service with my friends. I also enjoy the feeling of giving back to the community.

Historian: Katelynn Hazeltine
Freshman - Pledge Class: Fall 2022
I keep track of the Chapter's history and manage publicity through our social media accounts.

I am a double major for Psychology and Nursing. Aside from Gamma Sig, I also enjoy hanging with friends, going to the beach, and volunteering at a local fire company. I am also involved in America reads!
The reason why I joined Gamma Sigma Sigma is because I wanted to get more involved and I love helping out the community. And Gamma Sig was perfect for that. It also provides a great opportunity to make friends!

Social: Ashleigh Mill
Sophomore- Pledge Class: Spring 2022
My job as the social chair is to schedule events and time to better come together as a sisterhood. I organize various events, and activities that we can all partake in to bond better as a sorority.

My major is Nursing. Aside from GSS I also am apart of SNA. I also enjoy reading, baking, and watching documentaries.

I chose GSS because I wanted to get involved in service on campus and in the community. Also making friends was the best bonus!

Veronica Kromer
Junior - Pledge Class: Spring 2022
I mediate any issues that may occur in Gamma Sigma Sigma, whether that be problems between members, issues with dues, or any other problem that members need to be resolved regarding the group.

I am majoring in Psychology. Aside from GSS I also work at the B&G, I'm an RA, and I'm apart of America Reads! I enjoy reading and I am A twin.
I chose to be apart of GSS because I feel we all have a responsibility to foster, support, and care for our community. I wanted to help accomplish this through service. It's also really nice to be able to do so with the other lovely members surrounding me who feel the same.

Chapter Advisor: Gillian Sharkey
The advisor is in place to help oversee policies and procedures, to be a sounding board for the president, to share volunteer opportunities and explore ideas with the VP of service, and to support the efforts of the e-board. This is all done behind the scenes, in collaboration, to ensure that members can be successful and fulfilled in their time with the sorority.

I have been at Moravian since 2015 and have been the proud advisor of GSS since 2017. I went to Temple University where I was a psych major, UPenn where I got my masters in education, and Widener University where I am finishing up my doctorate in Higher Education. I love hanging out with my wife, daughter and dogs. I love a good movie and take out!
​
I loved that there was a sorority on campus dedicated to service and friendship. The students who join are wonderful people with lots of love, empathy and compassion to share. I'm incredibly proud of the students who commit and dedicate their time, energy and talent to our community.
