• What does All Inclusive mean?

  • All Inclusive means we accept everyone! If you want to join Gamma Sigma Sigma, you can. We do not turn anyone away from joining and completing service projects with us.​

• Does Gamma Sigma Sigma have an anti-hazing policy?

  • Yes we do. Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority is resolved that hazing and alcohol abuse among its membership have no part in chapter operations.  Adherence to these policies is not only mandatory, but is the personal responsibility of every member and chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma.

• Does Gamma Sigma Sigma have a philanthropy?

  • Instead of a philanthropy, we have service partners! Our service partners are The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, March of Dimes, National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, and American Cancer Society. Each semester we complete service projects and donate to our service partners.​

• Is Gamma Sigma Sigma similar to social sororities?

  • We have inductions, Big/Little Reveal​, and formals just like social sororities. If you are in a social sorority, you can join Gamma Sigma Sigma!

• When does Gamma Sigma Sigma have recruitment?

  • Recruitment happens during the Fall and​ Spring semester!

• Does Gamma Sigma Sigma have a mascot and official colors?

  • Our mascot is a penguin!​ The official colors for Gamma Sigma Sigma are maroon and white.

• Can Freshmen join Gamma Sigma Sigma?

  • Yes! Freshmen can join during their first semester at Moravian University. Look for us at the club fair to learn how to join.​

• How do I complete service hours?

  • There are so many ways to complete service hours. The Vice President of Service presents opportunities every week to volunteer on campus and at different organizations. If you don't have a car, there are members who will drive other members to different sites!​

• How much are dues?

  • The price of dues are announced at chapter meetings. Dues will be no more than $125. There are payment plans available!​

​

• Does Gamma Sigma Sigma have an advisor? Where can I meet them?

  • The advisor of our chapter is Gillian Sharkey! She is the Director of Civic Engagement at Moravian University. You can visit her at the Center for Career and Civic Engagement in the HUB and talk about service opportunities. ​
