Our chapter was awarded the Quiet Commitment Award at the 2019 ODK Awards at Moravian College!
The 2018-2019 academic year for Gamma Sigma Sigma was very memorable for the chapter! One of our highlights was winning an award at the Omicron Delta Kappa Awards Ceremony in May. Omicron Delta Kappa is the National Leadership and Scholarship Honor Society. At Moravian College, students, faculty, staff, programs, and organizations are nominated for a variety of awards. Gamma Sigma Sigma was nominated for the Quiet Commitment Award.
"This award is presented to the organization which quietly, yet consistently achieves its goals and enriches the undergraduate experience for its members and/or benefits the Moravian College campus community."
Once it was announced that Gamma Sigma Sigma won the award, members were ecstatic! Our Service VP, TahLea Wright, won an award as well! She won the Outstanding Sophomore Leader award.
"This award is presented to the member of the sophomore class, who has demonstrated a commitment to developing the skills and perspectives needed to serve as a catalyst for improving the quality of life for the students at Moravian College."
We are so proud of our accomplishments and are excited to see what's to come for Gamma Sigma Sigma! We would like to thank our advisor, Gillian Sharkey, for everything she does for us. :)
